Random thought spurred from Random invite
I have a baby shower to attend tomorrow. I knew the girl from High School but we haven't really bonded much since then. I'm just wondering if anyone think it's peculiar for someone to invite random people to showers or weddings for that matter. This brings me to one of my best friends in Junior High, yup I said it Junior flucking High. She married her long term boyfriend and invited me to the wedding. Perhaps it's my sometimes anti-social ass who finds this strange. But if I don't par with you and haven't spoken to you in say damn near 10 years chances are I'm not inviting you to shyte. Tell me what do you think...

Then again, my friends make fun of me because I have no interest in high school reunions. My theory is that I still talk to the people that are important to me... everyone else? There is a reason we didn't stay in touch...

True Story: My Roc BFF, Ty, and I plan strategic maneuver's in Wal-Mart, cause thats where you see everyone you don't want to see. We call each other on the celly like :" Don't go down aisle 10, Tamika from 9th grade is there" or "Don't go by the bleach & detergent, Calvin that you went to the prom with is there with his Baby Mama"
If we haven't talked since then? well why go thru the fakery of giving you my cell #, cause not only are you NOT going to call, I really don't want you to, nor do I want to be invited to any of your shit cause you want lotsa gifts.
Girl I feel you in many ways and like mia said below There is a reason we didnt stay in touch. Those types of functions are all a gimmic (hope I spelled that correct).
Hey Cuz, all I can say is how cheap and poor must you be, to invite people who you haven't really bounded with for over years to an event. What's next with these people??? Go and dig up dead people and expect for them to bring them gifts as well lol.

I agree (kinda'). It sounds like she just wants to fill the room, on the other hand, nothing happens randomly. Maybe you are needed in her life.
